Every job is different. In our experience, when it comes to installations, additions or remodel type situations, we have found it best to put our eyes on the project before trying to quote it. We do offer free estimates on all projects not related to service call repairs.
If you are having an electrical issue that needs to be diagnosed so we can offer the best repair option that would classify as a service call. Our service call price is $95 and that covers our trip and the first 45 minutes of diagnostics. Usually we can diagnose your problem and begin to offer repair solutions in that 45 minute window but there are times where more time may be needed for the diagnostics of the issue. If that is the case our hourly rate for diagnostics is $80 per hour after that first 45 minutes, billed in half hour increments. We will always talk to you before going over the 45 minute mark and accumulating any further charges. Once diagnosed, our technicians can get you a quote to complete the repair.
Emergency room doctors treat over 4,000 individuals each year for injuries caused by faulty electrical outlets—don’t let anyone in your family fall victim to an electrical accident.
Electrical fires and related injuries can be prevented by properly inspecting the outlet receptacles in your home.
While it may save you a few dollars on the front end, the risk is high. When it comes to electrical work, all it takes is one mistake to potentially create an electrocution hazard or start a fire. One mistake could cost you dearly. Sure, a license may seem like just a piece of paper, but the knowledge and experience that comes with that piece of paper could save your house or even your life.
When you are resetting circuit breakers or changing fuses too often. When you turn on your air conditioner and the lights dim in the room. When your lights flicker or go on and off. When you can smell electricity burning. When you have six electronic devices going into one outlet in back of your electronics center. When you have receptacle outlets overburdened by multi-plug strips. When a three-prong plug needs a two-prong adapter. If you have to run extension cords to plug in electrical devices.
Flickering lights are annoying and may be a sign of a potentially dangerous electrical problem, or something simple – like a bulb that is on the fritz. If replacing a light bulb doesn’t work, call an electrician right away. Your flickering lights could be due to loose wiring and lead to an electrical fire.
If the same breaker trips again and again, call SBG Electric. You may have too many electrical appliances and/or devices plugged into the same circuit, resulting in an electrical overload and causing your breaker to trip. Or, you may have a deeper electrical issue on your hands. A SBG electrician will help diagnose your issue and recommend a plan of action to fix your breaker.
